Greetings and Calculations, I’m Ande.

I calculate for a living, and write for fun. This book was born between the two.

This picture was right before the state tax workshop with my dare with Caleb. I hope you love reading this book as much as I enjoyed living it!!

The scrolling pictures at the bottom are actually pictures of some of the scenes in the book.

Taxes and Trials is more than a memoir; it’s a reminder that faith doesn’t just belong in church. It belongs in business, in courage and in the quiet work of setting things right.

If you’ve ever tried to hold faith and business in the same life, this story is for you.

The experiences in this book are drawn from years of work in tax resolution, explore the humor, heartbreak and hope hidden in the hour by hour work of tax preparers.

The Lore of Legends:  Taxes and Trials

The Lores of Legends: Siblings

The stories we shared before we knew they were stories.

Before taxes, before clients, before the farm — there was childhood.

The Lores of Legends: Siblings traces the wild, tender, and sometimes terrifying years of a family that spanned continents, war zones, and long car rides across America.

From the jungles of West Africa to the snowbanks of Pennsylvania, these tales explore the strange alchemy of family — how love and rivalry can coexist in the same heartbeat.

It’s a story of brothers, survival and laughter, faith and memory — told with the same truth and wit that shaped Taxes and Trials.

Other books to come…..

The Lores of Legends: The Farm

A sanctuary grown from ruin.

The Lores of Legends: The Farm unfolds on a hidden piece of island land — part wilderness, part redemption.

Here, soil replaces spreadsheets, and healing takes root in the rhythms of wind, rain, and work.

Between fruit trees and feral dogs, prayer and exhaustion, the farm becomes both a refuge and a reckoning — the place where faith meets fatigue, and beauty insists on blooming anyway.

It’s the quiet sequel to chaos. A hymn written in dirt.

Below are pictures of actual places/scenes in the the books

What Readers have said…

"It’s a beautiful work of art, that many are going to enjoy and be inspired to not give up."

M. Hall - Big Island

“My husband read the book and I haven’t heard him laugh this much since he read A Walk in the Woods”

R and J - Tennessee

"I wish I would have known this information earlier when I was in business. I think that much of the information in the book would be helpful to people starting small businesses. I also found many of the areas that you covered in the book to be comical and found myself smiling quite often."

About Ande Iris

Ande Iris is an author, business owner, and storyteller whose writing explores faith, integrity, and the battles behind everyday life. She has built a thriving tax-resolution firm — and discovered ministry hiding in the math.

Her stories blend the sacred and the ordinary: the hum of an office printer, the ache of faith in hard times, and the grace that shows up between clients and chaos.

When she’s not writing or running the tax office, she’s figuring out ministry, talking to family, tending palms and rambutan trees on a tropical farm, raising dogs, chickens and making chocolate with organic cacao.

When life gives you 250 cacao trees, make chocolate.
